Plaza de Armas

Santiago's Plaza de Armas is the historic heart of Santiago and the point where Kilometre Zero is located from which the country's distances are measured. Around it are emblematic buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago, the National Historical Museum, the Central Post Office of Santiago and the Municipality of Santiago.

Alhambra Palace

Destacado ejemplo de arquitectura morisca del siglo XIX, inspirado en la Alhambra de Granada y reconocible por sus arcos de herradura y detallada yesería. Declarado Monumento Nacional en 1973, desde 1940 es sede de la Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes. En su interior, puedes admirar patios y una reproducción de la fuente de Los Leones evocan el encanto andalusí en plena ciudad.
Santiago City Hall

Heritage headquarters of the Municipality of Santiago, the building overlooks the capital's Plaza de Armas. During colonial times it was used as a Town Hall and Public Prison, and today it is a National Monument.
Government Palace of Santiago (Former Intendencia of Santiago)

A National Historic Monument, it surprises with its imposing marble staircases that allow you to climb its four floors, where you will find lounges, library and meeting spaces. But it is the colourful stained glass windows designed by the painter Pedro Subercaseaux, which adorn the dome of the building, that attract all eyes.

Construido entre 1913 y 1917, es un edificio que resalta por su estilo renacentista francés y la calidad de sus terminaciones. National Library
